Attorney Josip Perkušić, with an office located in Zagreb, Desinićka ulica 4 (hereinafter: Attorney), pursuant to Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data (hereinafter: General Data Protection Regulation or GDPR), as well as the Act on the Implementation of the General Data Protection Regulation (Official Gazette 42/2018), in the capacity of data controller, hereby informs you about the manner in which your personal data is processed.
Processing of Personal Data
In the course of its activities, the Attorney collects and processes personal data of clients and website visitors lawfully, fairly, and transparently, ensuring that data is processed exclusively in a manner that guarantees appropriate security of personal data, including protection against unauthorized or unlawful processing, as well as accidental loss, destruction, or damage, through the application of appropriate technical and organizational measures.
The Attorney collects and processes the following categories of personal data:
Personal data of employees and former employees in accordance with employment contracts and the legal framework;
Personal data of clients based on issued powers of attorney, instructions, representation agreements, and the legitimate interest of conducting legal practice;
Personal data of buyers of Attorney products (e.g., digital programs) in compliance with the applicable legal framework;
Personal data of potential clients (buyers) and potential employees who contact us via the contact form or email.
For the provision of certain services or the sale of specific products, the Attorney may request the following personal data: name and surname, address, email, mobile phone number, job position, and employer details. The client/buyer/potential client confirms their consent to the processing of personal data by clicking the registration button.
Legal Basis for Processing
The Attorney processes personal data only if at least one of the following conditions is met:
The data subject has given consent for the processing of their personal data for one or more specific purposes;
Processing is necessary for the performance of a contract to which the data subject is a party;
Processing is necessary for compliance with the Attorney’s legal obligations;
Processing is necessary to protect the vital interests of the data subject or another natural person.

Data Recipients
Access to your personal data is restricted to attorneys, trainee lawyers, and other Attorney employees responsible for accounting, administration, IT, and postal services.
Access may also be granted to external recipients (competent state authorities, courts, public notaries, FINA, and other institutions) if such disclosure is necessary for the provision of legal services or required by a mandatory legal provision.
Data Retention Period
Certain personal data must be retained for 10 years from the final conclusion of a legal matter, as required by the Law on the Legal Profession.
For data processed based on consent, Attorney retains the data for as long as necessary for the intended purpose or until the data subject withdraws their consent.
Once the purpose ceases, consent is withdrawn, or the retention period expires, personal data is permanently deleted or anonymized, making it impossible to associate the data with a specific individual.
Data Subject Rights
Under the GDPR, data subjects have the following rights:
Right of access – The right to obtain information about the purpose of data processing, categories of processed personal data, recipients or categories of recipients to whom the data has been or will be disclosed, the planned retention period, and the source of data if not collected from the data subject. This also includes the right to receive a copy of personal data contained in the storage system.
Right to rectification – The right to obtain the correction of inaccurate data or the completion of incomplete data without undue delay.
Right to erasure (right to be forgotten) – The right to request the deletion of personal data if it is no longer necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, if there is no legal basis for processing, or if the data subject withdraws their consent.
Right to restriction of processing – The right to request the limitation of data processing under the conditions set out in the GDPR.
Right to data portability – The right to receive personal data in a structured, commonly used, and machine-readable format and to transmit that data to another data controller, provided that the processing is based on consent or a contract and is carried out by automated means.
Right to object – The right to object to the processing of personal data based on the data subject’s specific situation.
How to Exercise Your Rights
A data subject may submit a request to exercise any of the above rights by contacting the Attorney via email at odvjetnik@josipperkusic.hr or by mail at the registered office address provided at the beginning of this policy.
The Attorney will provide the requested information and details of any actions taken within one month of receiving the request. If the request is complex or a large number of requests are received, the response period may be extended by an additional two months, in which case the Attorney will inform the data subject of the reasons for the extension.
If a request is unfounded or excessive, particularly due to frequent repetition, the Attorney reserves the right, in accordance with the GDPR, to charge a reasonable administrative fee or to refuse to act on the request.
